Black Eyed Susans is the culmination of three distinct songwriters from Murray, KY: Melanie Davis, Kayla Little, and Sofia Anna Woods. Similar to their wildflower namesake, the unique trio provides charm and a sense of familiarity to any backdrop. The group navigates through folk, jazz standards, 60s doo-wop, pop, classic rock, and a capella with grace and three-part harmony. All multi-instrumentalists, the Susans trade instruments throughout their performances, switching between guitar, piano, bass, ukulele, and percussion. The individual songs each woman brings to the group span a wide spectrum of subjects and styles. From 19th and 20th century poetry, to age-old USMC sayings, to religion, to love, to heartache, and everything in between - the Black Eyed Susans’ music is simultaneously recognizable and incomparable.
